Business Context

Our client approached us with a vision to create an educational game for school students, highlighting the history of a group of medics during the Warsaw Uprising. The goal was to develop an engaging learning tool that combines historical education with interactive gameplay.

Requirements

The project required the development of an educational game about the experiences of medics during the Warsaw Uprising, fully adaptable to various devices. The game was based on pre-made graphics provided by the client, so we had to create a custom mechanism for displaying the graphics so that they would be adapted for different screen sizes. Another requirement was to adapt it for both classroom and field activities. Therefore, the app had to include features such as scanning QR codes for interactive “field play,” as well as provide customizable controls for teachers to manage content and enhance the learning experience.

Challenges

One of the main challenges was optimizing the client-supplied graphics for consistent display across various devices. We effectively overcame this by creating a custom mechanism for displaying graphics, ensuring a seamless visual experience across all screen sizes.

Results

We successfully delivered a comprehensive educational game that met all the client's requirements. The application effectively engages students in learning about the Warsaw Uprising through immersive storytelling and interactive gameplay. Teachers have the flexibility to customize content and manage the learning experience, while students benefit from an engaging and informative educational tool. The game has been well-received for its ability to combine education with interactive technology, enhancing learning experiences. Our client reported that: "the app was used by over 300 schools and 4,000 students, and it didn't have any major errors post-launch".
