Project Overview

Client: Eternis

Project Type: Website + Backend

Duration of works: 3 weeks

Launch date: May 2023

Team: 2 frontend devs, 1 project manager

Business Context

The client asked us to refresh their brand website. Original page used outdated and slow technology, which has made the website difficult to navigate through. Our team’s job was to recreate the website in modern technology of Next.js.

Requirements

The major challenge of this project was to recreate the large multi-page website in a short period of time (2-3 weeks). Our responsibility was to keep the current design, however, introduce a brand new technology to the front-end and back-end of the website. A refreshed page should be easy to navigate, fast, and simply editable - especially for copywriting and marketing teams, which are unfamiliar with complex programming techniques.

Key features

  • Strapi-based backend, which is intuitive and easy for non-programmers to edit.
  • Ability to switch between 4 languages. A special effort was put to make languages with foreign (non-latin) alphabets easy to route and SEO-friendly.
  • Precise reconstruction of the original website’s design.
  • Additional responsive layout for non-adjusted parts of the old site.
  • Multiple forms allowing viewers to contact the company. Received forms and messages are easy-reachable for our client’s employees through the Strapi panel.
  • Keep existing SEO results and improve it.
  • Integrate with company’s internal system for managing leads.

Challenges

Time pressure, multilingualism, small team, complexity of the recreated page, SEO-friendliness.

Results

Our small but superior team successfully managed to recreate the website in a given period of time. New website kept the previous look, however its performance has highly improved. Our client is satisfied with their old yet fresh, super quick website.
