The client came to us with a vision to create a modern application for learning medical issues. The client already had a website dedicated to medical education, but wanted to reactivate their idea by developing a modern app that uses new technologies such as artificial intelligence. With a collection of specially prepared images from medical atlases, he wanted to create a neat and minimalist app that would enhance medical learning.

Requirements

The project required the development of custom code to separate labels from images to highlight specific anatomical parts. Together with the client, we decided to use artificial intelligence to recognize and generate relevant content based on the isolated text. Another requirement was to design a minimalist and user-friendly interface to ensure smooth interaction and increase user engagement.

Challenges

One of the main challenges was automating the process of adding images to the CMS and extracting all the labels from the SVG code. We had to develop a system that could detect all labels in SVG images and generate descriptions on the fly, especially when the labels had not yet been identified. In addition, the application has a complex implementation of connections between images based on the labels mentioned in another flashcard. This feature allows users to directly navigate between related images in the app. Of course, we were able to solve all of the challenges, thanks to our experienced developer and a dedicated workshop that allowed us to better understand the client's needs and problems, which translated into further work and resolution of difficulties.

Results

Our team successfully delivered a minimalist, user-friendly application that effectively handles SVG image files and integrates AI for content generation. By isolating text from images, the app enables AI to generate relevant descriptions, enhancing the user's learning experience.
We believe that adding interactive content to educational applications greatly enhances memorization and learning.

Business Context

Our client approached us with a vision to create an educational game for school students, highlighting the history of a group of medics during the Warsaw Uprising. The goal was to develop an engaging learning tool that combines historical education with interactive gameplay.

Requirements

The project required the development of an educational game about the experiences of medics during the Warsaw Uprising, fully adaptable to various devices. The game was based on pre-made graphics provided by the client, so we had to create a custom mechanism for displaying the graphics so that they would be adapted for different screen sizes. Another requirement was to adapt it for both classroom and field activities. Therefore, the app had to include features such as scanning QR codes for interactive “field play,” as well as provide customizable controls for teachers to manage content and enhance the learning experience.

We successfully delivered a comprehensive educational game that met all the client's requirements. The application effectively engages students in learning about the Warsaw Uprising through immersive storytelling and interactive gameplay. Teachers have the flexibility to customize content and manage the learning experience, while students benefit from an engaging and informative educational tool. The game has been well-received for its ability to combine education with interactive technology, enhancing learning experiences. Our client reported that: "the app was used by over 300 schools and 4,000 students, and it didn't have any major errors post-launch".

The client asked us to refresh their brand website. Original page used outdated and slow technology, which has made the website difficult to navigate through. Our team’s job was to recreate the website in modern technology of Next.js.

Requirements

The major challenge of this project was to recreate the large multi-page website in a short period of time (2-3 weeks). Our responsibility was to keep the current design, however, introduce a brand new technology to the front-end and back-end of the website. A refreshed page should be easy to navigate, fast, and simply editable - especially for copywriting and marketing teams, which are unfamiliar with complex programming techniques.

The VPP application was designed to collect detailed energy consumption data from measuring devices provided by our client. Our client - Group StudentNews.pl - specializes in helping students to properly prepare for final exams and sucessfully graduate from High Schools.

Our first cooperation resulted in implementation and launch of a quiz-solving application - "Matura - Testy i Zadania", dedicated to high-school students.

After a great success and popularity gain of our first partnership, Group StudentNews.pl came up with the idea of a new project - a similar educational solution designed for elementary school graduates.

The finished application was supposed to support elementary school students in their preparations for final exams. Intuitive, bright and vivid interface was an essential part of creating a learning-friendly environment for young users. Various terminals (biometrical or card-based) provided by the client are usually placed around facilities of some company, to record entries and exits of employers. Collected data can be used to track and manage activity of workers. Our finished application was supposed to improve management of employers, increase readability of data collected by terminals and automatically generate activity reports.
